Joseph had his 2-week doctor's appointment today. He weighed in at 9lb 9oz! That means he gained 10oz over his birth weight in two weeks, and the doctor said that that "officially qualifies him as a pig"! The on-call pediatrician in the hospital called him a "bruiser" and said that he "has a big head and no neck". I think these doctors need to work on finding nice things to say about their patients! Not that I care...I think he's awfully cute. :) Joseph eats a lot more often than any of our other babies did, and he's definitely a chunky little man! He's a good sleeper too. We've had a couple middle-of-the-night parties, but for the most part his sleeping schedule matches up pretty well with mine.

Yesterday was Esther's 4th birthday! She really wanted to go to Target and Chick-fil-A, so that's what we did. She is very excited about being 4 and not having to take a nap anymore. :) Esther is a very sweet and affectionate little girl, and she loves helping me in any way...especially by cleaning and taking care of her younger siblings. She asks to hold Joseph more than anyone else does, and she's pretty good at it! She is already talking about the next baby and the fact that it will be a girl, and she's very excited about "being a Mama" when she grows up. :)

Here's a cute picture of my chunky little man. This little guy knows how to eat, and he likes to do it often! His fat little cheeks jiggle when I burp him. :)
It's a little hard to tell with these pictures, but Joseph looks a lot like Esther. Here's a chubby newborn Esther...
...and Joseph making a grumpy old man face. :)
Speaking of eating, Noah can really put down some food too. This was his lunch yesterday. He ate every bite of it plus a bran muffin, a banana, and a few crackers to tide him over while I was getting the rest of his food ready. I wonder what our food budget will be like when they are teenagers!

Our newest little arrow was born at about 7:30 last night. Joseph Patrick weighed 8lbs. 15oz. and was 20.5 inches long. Mama and baby did beautifully and are doing fine, resting in the hospital. Laura should be home and online in the next few days. Thank you all for your prayers.

Yes, I'm still pregnant! I had planned to take the day off from playing the organ at church since I'm 5 days past my due date and I figured there was a good chance I would be holding my baby by now. Since he hasn't arrived yet we drove about an hour away to attend church, and we had lunch and walked around the zoo for a while. The weather is perfect today, which means that the zoo was crazy! But we found a nice, quiet trail by the river and enjoyed a fun walk. I've been having a good many regular contractions since we left the zoo, so hopefully I'll have some news to share in the near future. :)
Five little monkeys. :)
A "make a funny face" picture!
I just had to include this one because it's so cute. We picked strawberries again last week, and this boy is a mess. Joshua was (and still is) very laid back and quiet, but Noah is much more of what other mothers describe their boys as being...always into things and always on the go! He's a mess and I have to keep my eye on him constantly to make sure he doesn't damage himself. He's got no fear and has many bumps, bruises and scrapes to prove it!
