8 Years

We celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary earlier this week! It's hard to believe that it has been 8 years. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful, loving husband who faithfully provides for my every need - physical, spiritual, emotional, and any other kind of need that I may have!

We have wonderful memories of the choir singing in our wedding!

An Outing

Some good friends of ours recently gave us tickets to the Symphony. Adam and I usually go with them, but they had other plans that night and gave us 4 tickets. We thought about asking other friends to go with us, but we decided to take Joshua and Abigail instead. They enjoyed the double date and the concert, and we had fun taking them!

Resurrection Day

This joyful Easter-tide,
Away with care and sorrow!
My Love, the Crucified,
Hath sprung to life this morrow.

Had Christ, that once was slain,
Ne’er burst His three day prison,
Our faith had been in vain;
But now hath Christ arisen,
Arisen, arisen, arisen!

My flesh in hope shall rest,
And for a season slumber;
Till trump from east to west,
Shall wake the dead in number.

Had Christ, that once was slain,
Ne’er burst His three day prison,
Our faith had been in vain;
But now hath Christ arisen,
Arisen, arisen, arisen!

Death’s flood hath lost his chill,
Since Jesus crossed the river:
Lover of souls, from ill
My passing soul deliver.

Had Christ, that once was slain,
Ne’er burst His three day prison,
Our faith had been in vain;
But now hath Christ arisen,
Arisen, arisen, arisen!

Field Trip

We had the privilege of touring a local dairy farm last week. It was so much fun, and we really learned a lot. The farm was beautiful and has been in the same family since the 1760's! I've never paid a whole lot of attention to the milk that we drink, but after learning about several different pasteurization methods (they use low heat pasteurization), non-homogenization, how the cows are fed, and the absence of growth antibiotics and hormones, we plan to buy our milk from this farm instead of the generic grocery store brands. The price is surprisingly low compared to the other non-grocery store milk options that I have seen in the past. This milk is not raw, which probably makes it a little cheaper. I think the fact that raw milk is all the rage right now makes it more expensive. That combined with the health risks of drinking it raw is enough to steer us clear of it! Anyhow, here are some pictures from our fun day at the farm!

Esther loved petting the babies!

Noah was more than happy to try the chocolate milk!

Sparse

Do you see the ticker on my sidebar?? There are only 21 days until Adam's graduation!!! There's a lot happening between now and then, so I will go ahead and tell you that my blog posts will probably be few and far between.

Last week was Spring break here, and we enjoyed a whole week with Adam home. We were out of town Monday and Tuesday (more on that later), and then my aunt and uncle came to visit the last half of the week. We always have a wonderful time with them! We went to the zoo with them and my parents on Friday. Unfortunately, I failed to get a good picture of Uncle Jim and Aunt Candie. I did get a few photos, but they are those awkward candid shots that I am sure they would rather I not post. I will try harder to get better pictures next time!
