Happy New Year to you all! We have been working on setting some goals here, and I will post about some of those later. For now, here are a bunch of pictures from Christmas. Adam has a lot more on his phone, but we can't figure out how to download them to iPhoto. We can get them off of my phone, but not his for some reason. I may be posting more if/when we figure it out. We made the 32+ hour, 2,000-mile road trip to Kansas to visit Adam's family for Christmas. We had a fun time and the children really enjoyed playing with all of their cousins that they don't get to see often. They all did great in the van...even Peter, who doesn't particularly enjoy traveling. He tends to get very fussy and clingy, and while he was to an extent, he did much better than I expected. We're very thankful for God's protection over us as we traveled and we are grateful to be home!
This one is from the day after Thanksgiving when my dad was visiting and we went to cut down our Christmas tree.
Little Red Riding Hannah. :)
We opened our gifts to each other a week and a half before Christmas. A lot of what we gave the children was immediately taken and packed into their travel bags for the trip!
Adam and I have enjoyed watching some Foyle's War episodes that we got from the library. I had been looking at the whole set on Amazon, but they are expensive! About a week before we exchanged gifts, I checked one last time and they were marked way down. I ended up paying a little more than $2 per DVD for them, which I was very excited about!
Joshua gave Noah his cowboy hat that he had outgrown.
Adam surprised the girls with pink cowgirl hats from the farm store down the road.
All packed and ready to go!
Driving by the arch in St. Louis.
The girls playing in the snow at Adam's grandfather's house in Missouri. We stopped there on the way and enjoyed spending some time with them.

I bought some sterilized owl pellets for Adam and the children for Christmas. I thought that dissecting them would be fun for them to do together. When we were in Missouri, the field beside the house was full of owl pellets! Of course they weren't sterilized, but the kids thought they were pretty neat.

Hannah helped Grandma make rolls Christmas morning.
Esther, our animal lover, with one of Grandpa and Grandma's cats. She had it wrapped in a blanket like a baby. :)
We went bowling one evening, which was a first for the children.
